well as the subject implies im new to the tuning world my first car is going to be an acoord, right now im in iraq so ive got plenty of time to plan it out but i've come across the problem of what to drop under the hood.. been looking at the k series a lil but beings im used to american muscle im nervous about taking a 6 cyl. out and putting a 4 cyl. in if anyone has any advice on what can be done or whats been proven to be better it would be appreciated because being new to it or not i still want to blow the doors off of most anything i meet.. thanks again and looking forward to some pointers

I guess we're both in the same boat. im also new to tuning but i've loved cars since i knew what a car was. since i dont know too much about the technical stuff, i can only offer this piece of info: depending on what year the car is, i would stick with the 6 cylinder engine and work my way up. since you're used to muscle cars, i'm assuming that they were v-8's and had lots more horsepower than a 4 or 6 cyl.

i think you should stick with the v6. I'm not sure what the tuning options are in terms of the v6 but i think it should be fine? i know there are a lot of stuff for the k-series but i would just get an RSX-S or a Civic Si

If your car has a V6 in it I'm pretty sure its an model model from 98-02+. None of the other accords came with V6 engines. I'm pretty sure your engine is an F23 series. I would save the money you would spend on a new engine and swapping it in and all that, and just make what you have faster. The V6 has many tuning options, The same as the V4 in fact...the difference is you're just starting with a slightly higher bhp than I have.

I dont think the V6 chassis accepts the 4cyl engines very well. If you have the 6th gen.. look into a SuperCharger (CompTech) .. if you have a 5th gen.. good LUCK.
