ok im asking this for a friend of mine he has a 00 civic ex that is a d16y8 i believe... anyway he had catastraffic engine failure he apparently hit somethin put a hole in the oil pan and before he got home lost all oil and motor ceased up... upon towing it home it refuses to even attempt to turn over tore it down and its just a ball of mess.... where i come into play here is he wants to buy an old 91 ls engine i have in my garage and i dont want to sell it to him till we find out what all is needed for the swap if it is even possible.. any help is appreciated thanx  

don't even try it is a waste of money. just go and build a ls vtec.  

i kinda figured that was going to be the response..lol... thanx ... its all good though he came across a good deal on a gsr setup from a wrecked 98 teg... motor tranny harness and ecu for 400 or he can buy the whole teg for 800 ... it was slammed hard in the driverside rear... when i say hard it was hard!!! thanx for the reply though
