i have a eg with a state bar'd gsr swap but recently i got pulled over for a D.A.H driving a honda! cop had no reason to pull me over and he just pulled me over b.c. i had a honda with a carbon fiber hood. he sent me to the state smog station and dont know what to do. i am trying to change some of the parts to stock so if anyone has a 94 n up gsr stock parts let me know your price. i need to replace:
valve cover(cut to be able to have cams) adjustable cams (purple crower cams) adjustable fuel regulator port n polished b16 head chipped p28 ecu (vtec kicks in at 4500) civic type r jdm intake manifold(no carb #) injen cold air(just to not look hooked up) dc 4-1 headers(again to look stock) msd ignition please let me know any suggestions or advice or your own stories. thanks
help!!!

ok for your test since you have the fuel regulator run less fuel. and turn back your timing a bit leave that ecu vtec is for fuel economy right.lol. leave the intake on there more ait the better. the msd ignition will be good better combustion cleaner burn. the intake manifold keep that to more air the better. before your tect fill up on 94 octane and get it nice and hot drive for a solid hour get the fluid pumping this is when all your sensors open up and turn on. take off any exhaust compnents this will screw you over. good luck you should pass it is a honda peace

i tried that but they told me all after market parts have to be swapped out with only gsr 94 parts, so that menas no intake headers cams msd new ecu valve cover head exhasut and ... dammm

Unless they're CARB-approved, you need to change all your engine components back to stock. Even CARB-approved parts, such as the DC header may not pass. I had a 4-2-1 ceramic header on my car, and failed smog repeatedly. It turned out that my header didn't allow the catalytic converter to heat up enough to filter out emissions. Once I put the stock header back on, I passed with flying colors.
A good rule of thumb for the referee is to just change everything to stock. A fresh oil change and running your car a little hotter would also help right before a smog test. Hope that helps, and good luck!

wow i never had any of those issues with either of my hondas as far as inspection and smog but i was however pulled over the other day for the D.A.H. carbonfiber hood ..hood pins and dart, je, and golden eagle products stickers on my crx..lol.. *** holes there really ought to be more dunkin doughnut shops around to keep them fat full and lazy..lol.
