OK I need some major help. I have a 92 Prelude auto is has a H22 head with H23 block bored out to a 2.5l with 12.5:1 comp(cp pistons, crower billet H-Beam rods, ARP head bolts and was sleeved by Golden Eagle) and a full port and polish head job(all skunk2 valve train). The motor also has Intake, header, 2.5in exhaust, cam gears and pulleys with a 50 shot of nitrous. I bought the JDM ecu for the h22 auto so i have vtec that will come on. I have also bought a greddy emanage comp to help tune the car. Here comes the problem. This motor has been being built for a year and a half and finally the motor is in the car and running, BUT it runs like crap and i dont know what is needed to be done to solve the problem. We have tried other ecu but none of which work. This is my first car i have had for 6 years. It is my baby but since the old motor blew up i have gotten married and have twins now and i am a full time student so i dont have a lot of money tp spend but i want it back and running so bad i know it has tons of potential. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! I am a loyal reader of every issue since i bought my car in 2000 and it kills me to see it just sitting there.

check the timing or you might have to run a higher octane gas. also have you uppgraded the pump you might be starving it from fuel.

im beginning one of these builds.. did you put the piston oil sprayers in it and make proper reliefs in the h23 block for vtec oil flow??? it may be starving for oil when vtec kicks in this is a common problem people look over when building this motor

Sounds like you both could be right but if it isn`t tuned right it will produce the same outcome..
