I have a 2000 Honda Civic hatchback with the stock D16Y7 motor in it. I want to do a motor swap but i am not sure which motor will be the best for my car. I was thinking about an H22A or a K20A but i'm not for sure if i should do one of those or different motor. Can someone please help me!

Well I kind of want an engine w a good amount of power to it so in case i want to tear the motor apart and rebuild it to get more power i will be getting a lot more power. Also i wanted to get an engine that i could later add a turbo to

man the y8 you can boost poeople boost the d series all the time because it will double the power greatly. there are people that have boosted and have easily touched 200 or over.

the y8 is single overhead cam came in the 2000 civic coupe ex.... ive seen a few of them modded out with some nice hp gains and a general rule of thumb with honda motors if they are stock you dont wanna push anymore than 8 lbs of boost .... thatll still make nice gains... but as with any properly built motor you can get higher boost out of it... i know a guy in texas that ran a 950 hp boosted d16 in the 2005 scca gt class!! but if you can afford the k series engine swap then by all means go for that

So is the H22A Motor better to add turbo to or is the K20A going to handle a turbo better?
