Help, bought an 89'SI, timing belt went, but planned on new engine anyways. Where can i get a NEW one and what are my options? I really want to get into tuning, need help!

new one what a engine well it all depends on your location. if you are in canada ontario there are tons of places. you can go with a b16, b17 and thats about it. I am not to good with that series sorry. thats all I got. peace

89 si is that the b20a old school motors or is it an a20?? if your car is dpfi you could do a mpfi swap on it and put in a newer h series or b series engine. i have instructions i got off line alooong time agao i can copy for ya that tells how to turn your car into mpfi...

i'm 99% sure it's the B20a5, but i'm currently in iraq, so it's a little hard for me to be find out, i could hav a family member check it out if need be, i'm willing to put a decent amount of dough towards it, so whatever is possible...

i know that boat i came back in june. i was in rammadi for a year .. it sucks .. anyway umm if you are willing to put money into it i seriously would tell you if this is a car you want to do a bit of tuning with id say get a swap kit from hasport and throw in a nice h22 .. i mean the tunability is lacking for those older motors...to speak more about the matter you can email me directly if you want ..dassoldat@yahoo.com
