the ef is fun its light and man you can get these lil suckers to hook up good when you throw in a heavier motor like the b18 they get nice grip... yup you can use the b18 c1 head just remember when you do your parts gathering you gunna need the vtec dowls vtec headgasket .. the easiest way to do this in my opinion is to pay a lil more money and buy the conversion kit from like golden eagle or someone that sells the full kit .... also if you put a b18 into the 88-91 civic / crx you will have to sacrifice power steering.. no big deal it only effects you at dead stop soon as you get bout 5 mph you dont notice its gone... also you will have to bang a small dent in the engine bay so the alternator istnt rubbing

hmm i dunno??? but i can tell ya with the b18in that engine bay you will def have to bang out the wall a lil bit onless yoiu can make yourself a custom alternator bracket that will still allow the belt to line up??? i just did the easy solution and took a sledge to the inner engine bay wher the alternator would be located and pounded the wall in bout 3 inches for clearance
