ok i was curious as to the goods and bads on the del sol as i been thinkin of gettin one because i can grab one with a blown b16 for 1500 and its in good shape other than the bent rods ..lol but if i ido get one i was thinkin of doin the gemeni project and heaving an h22 into it or maybe the h23 vtec i plan to build over the summer. so any one got info on swaping the h into the delsol?? i figure it will be the same as swaping into a civic am i right or wrong?? any one?

yeah should be the same as swapping into a civic. parts needed to swap it can get kind of pricey i believe. what are you goal with this car?

H22 is doable. They sell mounts for it. Heavier engine (+30lbs more), but it does have torque. Are you planning on keeping it FWD? Just wondering since the real Gemini project is a mid-engine RWD Sol.
Honda Tuning has actually done tech articles about this swap:

neh im gunna keep it front wheel that rear wheel conversion would be more money and time than i want to spend on it... i just wanted to buy it swap in the motor straighten out a few of the minor body dings put a fresh coat of white on it and resell it.. people in my area dont like to do the work themselfs they buy other peoples projects so i usually make good return on motors i build or project cars .

nice. its hard to get people to buy a full project car around here. its easier just to part out.

its a pain in the *** starting out but after you get some practice its a breeze... like i messed round on sheets of sheetmetal first to get the distance and speed down so it wont be runny and stuff then i did my own car first so if i messed up no big deal.. but as long as you get a stable clean environment to spray in its ok.. like instead of buyin a 4 thousand daoolar paint booth i got some concrete made a pad then built an insulated sterile paint shed with a high out put heater to help cure the paint.. ill do basic colr sprays but im not good with candy colors and shifters yet i still have that professionally done but i can do basic colors and pearl essence or flake

im new to all honda's im used to nissan and their 240sx series, but i helped a buddy of mine do a h23 swap into a 94 del sol. it went perfect axles and all matched up. alls i can say is if the motor mounts havw any wear at all then i suggest replaceing them. My friends were pretty new and he ran it so hard he ripped the rear mount out. good luck with it.
