i have a 89 crx hf.
it still has the d15 block but i think it has a j-spec head (because i can out drag a v6 fire bird) the motor reall doesnt have that much power below 1300 rpm but anything over then that and its a bad ass.

i have had it for about 4 years and have just let it sit do to the fact that at 1st i didnt know it had the j-spec front end so i could get some parts that i needed for it, and then after i found out what it was some diff stuff came up.

well on to my ? now, i am now geting it ready for the road and would like to see what the best mods would be to do to get some more power! i was thinking about doing a turbo from a elcip.. like in one of my old honda mags. i wont need a ton of power i just want to get a bit more out of it.
what do yall think would be good??

i would like to get in the 150 hp maybe a bit more. my buddy has a 88 civ with a d16 stage 1 turbo and i would like to out run him   i was thinking that with the turbo set up that was in the 1st post pushing about 6-7 pis would do what i want.
a all motor setup does sound sweet but i dont think with just a cam and *** i could get the 150 hp range r am i wrong??

if your not lookin for loads of power but fun ... try to come up with a power goal in mind and if its nothin too major id say bump up piston comp aftermarket camshaftmaybe even a nice intake manifold from edelbrock if they carry your code or venom.. and as always good intake headers and exhaust

I would say just get the b16 it will be more reliable as a race appliction compared to a D series

i thought that the b motors were rare now??? i havent seen any b16 motors adds since i have had the car.

also im not 100% sure of what it would take to do the swap.

what i was thinking is that i could rebuld the motor i have and get the eclip turbo kit for less then 2400$
