hey all you prelude owners and lovers... i have an 89 prelude S .. i know not the best of honda's engines right double barrel carb oversized motorcycle engine.. decent speed but nothing great.. anyways i want to do and engine swap badly but not sure what the best ( most powerful , balls out in a straight line) motor is for the lude.. i allways thought the best one would be the H22 or H22a or 23A... but i do know that the 03 civic si's come with the base block of a S2000 the only real diffeence between blocks is the bore size.. so my question is would the 03 civic si engine bored out or the H22 ( 22a, 23) bored out be the better engine.. or am i completely wrong about the best/ most power full engine.. please let me know!! thanks...~Jason

depends on what wy you take your build all motor turbo or what?? people willl argue with me but the h22 is not the ideal motor for turbo kits thousands of people do  it but its not the ideal motor the h23 on the otherhand is good on turbo but lacks in power straight out the box that the h22 has.. but anyway hasport makes mounts to put h series in your car.

well.. i was planing on setting the engine up for a turbo.. what i really want to do tho is have nitrous oxide right out of the gate through the low rpms untill the turbo spools and then shut off once the turbo kicks in so theres no lag from the turbo or engine... im not sure if ill do that but in a street drag i will want that out of the box the H22 has but i want the power to handle a turbo like the H23.. so in reality i want the best of both worlds.. so im not sure what i should do at all..any other advice??? also what about the 03 civic engine i was talking about above? no matter what the engine is going to be bored out 20 or 30 over so theres still enough piston wall to handle boost n, or nitrous.. so bigger pistons and so forth.. ~Jason

i think ive decided to steer away from building up the H22 and go with the H23 and put a turbo on it.. and since the h series trannys have long gears im going to do a B series trany conversion so the gears are shorter and more powerful so now im asking if anyone has any more advice.. size of turbo.. short air intake... just anything at all....~Jason
