im about to get a gsr tranny for my ls becuase i think mines is going out and i heard gsr tranny's are better than the ls tranny because the ls tranny is less reliable (thats what iv heard)..but i want to know..would the gsr tranny cut a few tenths away from my ET? because i was thinking that the gears are a little bit shorter and the ls motor is a torque motor so it doesnt really make much power in high rpm's anyway so the quicker i can shift and get back to some lower rpm's than i can get back to where i make the most power..plz help me on this..and plz correct me if im wrong (i wouldnt be surprised if you guys think im dumb, it was just a thought)..thanks

I just swapped a GSR tranny into my LS motor. The car drives like a total different car. And yes you are right it gets off the line hella quick but sucks at the high-end rpm range due to the shorter gears. At 80 mph, I'm a 4500 rpm so you have gas mileage that sucks too. But its fun to drive on the streets (not highway).

Acura TSX Research
Acura TSX When looking for your next vehicle, think about the Acura TSX, a stylish car with nice features. The TSX gets 18 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway, and is available in the following bodystyle: Sedans. The Honda Pilot and the Honda Ridgeline are other vehicles that might interest you.
