im still in high school right now but im working to try to get a car im thinking if i get the honda civic ex i can get an h22 engine swap in it and put a cold air intake for starter but if i get the integra gsr i wanna makeit look type-r by putting the jdm front clip and the JDM B18C Type-R DOHC Vtec engine to put in it so right now i wanna know wich would be a better choice cause the gsr would cost alot more than the civic buti would be worth it to have the only integra type r in my school and the civic i could get faster than if i waited for the gsr????

if you have enough coin to buy a car and swap the engine right away why do you need advice. the whole jdm craze is cool but don't do it to be following the crowd.

It depends what you're going for. An H22 swap is awesome cuz it's cheaper, plus the engine has torque to offer. Going with a B18C is also good and it bolts right in for the most part; however, prepare to pay a pretty penny thanks to the red badge and JDM inflation.

Have you though about getting a 98 honda civic hatch back and tricking it out mugen style.......Not the lip kit but the actual mugen front bumper, rear bumper,spoiler, etc. You can go with your choice of B, H, or even K seies motors in the car. I believe you can even swap in a V6 out of a CL Type S.
Look for V6 civic in youtube. They look sick and are incredibly fast.
What are you plans for the car. Is it going to be a daily driver, Auto X, or even the Drag Strip. We need to know your intent to help you in the decision process.

go with the civic, I have a 95 civic ex w/ stock 1.6 SOHC and I still smoke people w/ turbos
