I'm wondering if the '06 honda civic Si is a good platform to work with for a beginner. I was thinking of a toyota celica gt-s, but now I'm contemplating on which one I should get. Which one is more tuneable/cheaper to tune/and more reliable engine wise. I know the GT-S run's 180hp and the Si throws 197hp, there both 6 speed close ratio manuals, but which one is the best choice?
If neither is good, then can you throw in some advice and maybe some good cars to look for. Anything is appreciated.

the civic says only 197 but thats only for government issues, when they are dynoed they say 212. go with civc, how about you go and test drive them and see for your self

you really came to a honda forum and asked that. for a beginner i would reccommend getting an older car first.
