Hi i had just put an 98 EX vtech motor in my 99 DX but now im having problems getting it started . It will turn over but very rarely starts and if it does it wont stay running. I'm using the computer and harness for the new 98 EX motor but i have one extra connector near the computer and it has no where to plug into. Any help would be great.

If you have one extra plug by the ecu (4 total) that wiring harness is for a automatic.  4-plugs = automatic  3-plugs = manual.  You will need a whole new harness.  Also where you able to hook up the third o2 sensor?? Bet you weren't!! The d16y7 engine has both of the o2 sensor connectors on the engine wiring harness were as the d16y8 has only one on the harness and the other is *** near on the bottom side of the car due to the location of the catalytic convertor.  Also the wiring harness for a auto has different plugs for the intake manifold than the manual harness does.
