I have a feeling this will probably end up being the most popular of the new forums Everyone wants a different engine than the one their car came with and this is the place to talk about how to stuff that K20 into your Fit, or whatever swap you are going for.

Thanks for the ideas sav, if you or anyone else has ideas on making the forums better I will do everything I can to make it happen. Right now we have a really small community on here, but all of us here at Honda Tuning are hoping we can build it back up. We know it is going to take time, but in the end it will be worth the work.
Thanks Again

u wanna talk swaps. well i swaped a jdm gsr motor into a 99 usdm gsr. first swap in my life. alot of headaches but its runnin great. but it wont pass smog, cuz its runnin on the jdm ecu. the usdm ecu throws a code when ran w/ the jdm motor. does anyone know how to wire a jdm motor to a usdm ecu w/out codes let me know.

what code did it throw??? i do believe the jdm motors are usually ran on higher octane and some have higher fuel pressure.. so you might turn that down a few psi if its runnin rich

Since it is a new engine and transmission, does it matter if the car used for the swap is an automatic. Im assuming you would have to buy a new shifter... if it would work at all.

I have a 96 Civic EX, Auto, and found a JDM B16A II DOHC VTEC FWD with Automatic Tranny. My state is testing emissions based on 1996 standards and the requirements for the B16A II indicated a need for a wiring harness jumper from OBD2 to OBD1. My mechanic, says the OBD1 will not pass inspection. Any suggestions to get the OBD1 to pass 1996 guidelines?

the swap usually costs around $7500 more or less, depending on how u spend ur money. for example u can spend 300 bucks on the dc sports race header or u can buy the rcrew header for 800 something.
anyways the k20a (type r DC5, Civic or Euro R) complete swap will can run u up to six g's by it self.
if u go with a 02-04 k20a2 or 05-06 k20z1 (type s DC5) k20z3 (FG Si) you could find them as low as four g's
so say u spend four g's on the engine/tranny complete swap u still got three to four grand to still buy in parts
im not gonna lie to ya, its a very expensive swap. trust me im running a K in my 99 Si.
