I have a stock 1988 Honda prelude SI which is automatic. I got it from my grandfather which kept it in Florida and didn't use it that much. It only has 32,000 MILES on it!!! I want to turn it into a tuner, what should I do and will last as long even if I make it faster? And what websites can i get these parts?
thanks basktball800

What are your power goals? What is your budget? And are you going to do the work yourself or pay someone to do it?
Answer these questions first then come and talk to me at: seantydingco@msn.com
I can answer most of your performance questions, but you need to have patience and money to get your car to where you want it to be.

iv told quite a bit of people this who have posted on the forums the easiest way to start making your car a tuner is to drop a cold air intake and full exhaust into your car .. it improves performance and make for a pretty nice humm i might add

I would say drop a h22 in there. but then again i would make that thing standard first.

I dont care too much for autos, but if it has 32k miles on it i would not put a different motor or trans in it. I would just do the average intake, header, and exhaust first then drive the hell out of it until it needs a rebuild. then swap stuff out(plus im not sure but this sounds like your first car so it driving it with basic mods will keep you from ruinning it in your "learning curve")
