Would a 98 gsr ecu, fit on my 95 si coupe without any modifications. If someone has done this or knos something about doing this can you help. I have a gsr ecu and i think it will fit but i dont want to go fooling around and screw up my car. The engine was a b18c1 and the engine in my civic is a d16z6. Thanks

i just finished that same engine swap in my 92 eg 2 weeks ago and that ECU will not work for that swap. you will have to order an OBD1 ecu from 96 or older integra or civic. and because the 98 GS-R is an OBD 2, you will have to change out the fuel rail and injectors for the d16z6 one onto your gsr motor (dont worry they fit right on and the injectors are the same size), and splice the wires on your ignition to make them match the obd 1 sustem which is a simple one for one exchange. i will tell you that the swap is sooooo worth the trouble. it is a huge difference you will be glad you did it.

Oh yeah you can use almost everything from the gsr in your civic, it is just about 100% interchangeable. the only problem is that like i said before the obd2 gsr injectors wont fit on the obd1 harness so youll have to switch them out. you will also have to wire the distributor to match your original cars harness and the 02 sensor plug will have to be extended considerably to reach the gsr's stock 02 sensors on the exhaust. but if it is built already and you are not too worried about emmisions you wont have to worry about it.... i am still working on mine but it is running strong and just did 140mph on the autobahn 2 days ago when i smoked an Audi A4 1.8T. i have pics posted on this site if you want to check it out
