I had the sameproblem when I had to replace my water pump and my timing belt.I thing that I found that worked the best to keep my crank pulley from turning are j bolts, they are used in the construction industry, the are shaped exactly as they are named , as a j , j bolts are used when pouring a concrete foundation on a house, they are inserted in the concrete on the exterior walls when pouring the concrete. You will need to find the size which is the same diameter as the holes in the crank pulley, I think they were 3/8" or 1/2", you can purchase them at any local home depot or lowe's, ,insert the hooked end into the hole forward the engine, and another immediately to the rear hole in the pulley to keep the engine from turning, then grab the breaker, extension, and correct socket and break the crank pulley bolt loose. You should then be on a downhill slope to changing your timing belt....DON'T FORGET!!.To mark your timing gear pulley for correct timing alignment when re-installing your new timing belt..if it were me I would replace my water pump at the same time. Good Luck. Neil
