i also have a 88 rex si and i love this car best car iv had. Its like an overgrown go-cart. If u want to go non v-tech a b18 is where the power is at but thats if u wanna make a drag car. I have heard of a guy thats runnin 9 secs in a 1/4 mile with a sohc non v-tech motor

sup cheezy sorry but your first crx that sucks. K series are vtec and are harder to swap into a crx. If you want to go non vtec turbo, this is what I would do, Buy a B20($500) mate it to a 2nd gen integra tranny($250), buy hasport mounts($350-399), and use the integras ecu and wiring harness. the b20 is torqey and will helps with turbo lag. Plus the b20 has a low com. ratio. which makes it boost friendly. but yeah a turbo b20 in that light of a car would be unbeatable on the streets and wound be cheap and fairly easy to build. But you do what you like that is what this scene is all about.

Yeah for boost B20 vtec it the way to go. Same swap as the B18. Make sure to look into the Ls vtec head swap, if you dont do it right vtec will not work.

don't waste your money on another motor if your crx has the same motor that came in it then it should be a d16a6 a great motor if you dont wont to run vtec and if in the future you want to run vtec you can do a mini me swap and take the money you was going to spend on the swap and just biuld up the d16a6 thets in the crx
