Just bought a 93 v-tech prelude w/ cold air intake, dc headers, shift kit, and exhaust.  The car has an air-fuel mixture gauge and it is correct and acts eratically (bounces from lean to rich).  It has an Apexi V-AFC installed, and im thinking there may be a setting wrong in the V-AFC setup. the car often loads the motor up with fuel, flooding itself out, but only after stopping at an intersection or red light, and getting back on the throttle. At high revs the car performs amazing but at low revs it seems to want to flood itself out.  If anyone has a resolution or a possible tip, plz for the love of god tell me lol.

id be sayin the fuel map was tampered with and you will need to have the v-afc re set with the propper settings also have a look at the fp reg see what its set at

i downloaded the manual for the v-afc and set everything to where it ran better, but it seems like after the car warms up it still tends to want to flood itself out.  idk if the fp has been tampered with via the fpr or not, in fact im not even sure what the correct amount of fp my car should be running.  but thanks for the insight.

Do you know if you have larger injectors or an aftermarket fuel pump. These can also play a factor as to why your car is leaning out so much. Also is there an aftermarket fuel rail....Any item that has been done to the acr fuel wise or intake wise will throw off the mixture. Lets say you throw an intake you are getting a slight bit more air then fuel. Solution header and exhaust, fuel rail and injectors, or an aftermarket fuel pump.

There are many variables that can affect the drivability of the car. IMO, since you seem somewhat in the dark as far as what mods have been done to the car, I suggest you take the car to a mechanic to see what else may have been done to the car.
