ive got a 2000 civic si i just bought and im kinda new to the dohc v tech i think when car engages vtech at 5 and half thou. rpm it seems to really be restcricted when it hits vtech it almost slows down and has a hard time going through v tech. not so much in first but when 2nd 3rd so on comes it seems to have a hard time. wondering if you have heard of this or possibly any suggestions. other wise the car runs great except at those rpms thanks shaun

hmm...I just got the same car not too long ago. My Vtec kicks in great. Do you know if the previous owner had any mods in the car? I have heard of this happening before when someone has a Vtec controller and then takes it off when they sell the car this supposedly can cause this type of issue.

Yeah dude, seriously if you are losing acceleration when you hit Vtec something is seriously Vfuked up
