I have a 95 Accord LX that I am in the beginning stages of a complete overhaul.  I need a new exhaust system, but I am unsure of what to purchase.  Obviously, I would like to free up some HP, but I do not want an obnoxiously loud exhaust.  Any suggestions?  I am planning on replacing everything, not just a cat-back.

I had this same issue when I completly redid my exhaust as well. The question for you as the owner of the vehicle is, do you have an H22 swapped in or is it the stock motor? If so I believe the only difference in my opinion is going to be the diameter in the piping. If you have the stock F series motor your best bet would be to up size your piping up to 2.25, 2.50 if you have an H series. I would say keep the stock Cat, if you go aftermarket your are gonna pay alot for few horses. I would ditch the stock Resignator for a Magnaflow High Flow Resignator and any Canister of your choice. I did that and I have a deep grunt with no ricer sounds at all. I hope this helps you in your quest for the right sound.
