I'm looking for some advice on how to build a high performance car on a budget of $4000.00 The car I'm building is a 1995 Honda prelude. 4 cylinder/ 5spd
I'm very mechanically inclined. I have no problem doing any or all of the work involved with building this car myself. I have a long background in paint, body and automotive repair.
This is my first time dealing with a Honda so don't cuss me if I'm wrong. but, I think it's a SE model(it says "Special Edition" on the trunk lid)
I'm buying this car based on the fact that the engine runs but lacks power due to compression loss on 2 of the 4 cylinders.
Outside: The Body is rust and damage free.
Underhood: There is no visible oil leaks and the engine bays paint and wiring look almost new.
Interior: The front, rear seats and carpet need replaced. Everything else looked very nice.
Where do I start, My Idea car would be a rocket that corners like it's on rails. Any advice and or links to preformance parts venders would be helpful.
Thanks
