Hey man, i did this swap in 2006, i still have it inside my prelude 93. its not really hard. what problems/ parts are you hung up on.

I reconmend switching your timing belt from and automatic tensioner to manuel one.

How i did it was i used my existing wire harness from my 93 h23 engine, took of the h22 euro r harness, then wraped my old h23 wire harness around my new euro r block. that way you are guarenteed to have a smooth fit. just remember to tag each male and female connection so you do not mix up your connnections.
Note: by using your existing wire harness you are keeping your car obd1, that way you are getting more power out of the h22 euro r. (standard euro r is obd2).

i also used a hondata engine unit to make sure i had the right map programs. to run my car. of course i had to buy a vtec computer. so i took out my 93 h22 non vtec computer, and switched it for a 95 honda civic vtec computer. that way the maps i programed on the hondata would pass through to the ex civic computer and made my car think i was using a normal euro r ecu.

let me know if you have any more questions. when i did this swap i had no help it can be frustraiting because i think this swap has only been atempted by a few people, because the engine cost so much more then a normal h22.

but the swap is awesome. i got 197. horse power at the wheels when i took it off the dyno.

good luck with the swap

Hi josh,

Just recently done a similar swap. I have the H22A7 engine (11:1cr) and LSD box from the UK Accord Type-R (212ps) fitted to my 95 Prelude VTEC. Running Neptune RTP in a P72 ecu. The map is dyno tuned but based on an Integra GSR map. Runs ok but not quite happy with it. Looking at the Hondata Prelude ignition maps wich are a lot different to what I have, and want to try something else. Are you running the Hondata prelude calibration?

Could you send me the calibration you are running in your Euro-R so I can try the ign maps, my fueling is ok? To h22a@preludeonline.co.uk

Thanks
Tim
