I just got motor rebuilt every thing is new on bottom end.how should i go about breaking it in?

I don't believe that is normal. Actually last summer I had my tranny replaced. I just had bought the car and the previous owner beat the crap out of it. It was grinding in all gears bad. Well a few months after the change it started making a high pitch metallic noise...almost like a chalk board screeching. My dad just told me he thinks it is the "bands" but I don't know much about trannies. No sounds are a good thing. If you figure it out let me know.

I just added a bit of trans fluid and ran it for thirty minutes noise is gone.
