I jst recently ran into one of the honda guys around where i live who offered me a non vtec b18 with 106,000mi for 300$ to replace my d15 in my 94 del sol. from what he told me my tranny would bolt staight up 2 it?? n that my original engine mounts would work? n that bcuz i already dnt have vtec that i wouldnt need a new wiring harness... to me this sounds a liltle to easy for 300 bucks and maybe it is bt i doubt it and figured id ask you guys before i went n spent the money. n if it is to good to believe what all would i need to buy to make it work?

hey saw this and thought to lend a hand, the b18 needs a b-series tranny and u have to change thebracket on the back of the motor and swap the mounts for b-series mounts u dont have to move them just change them and u will need a ecu for a b-18 $300 is a cool price for a b18 so id pick it up and get the rest a little at a time then do the swap when u got every thing for it. check the local pick n pull for a tranny or call Attarco in sac and see what they will charge and find an integra to get the ecu from90-93 i think good luck and happy hunting.

will i need difrent motormounts? or will it bolt up normally? and how much more power will that b18 bring me?

you will need a combination of b and d series mounts or just order a set of mount from hasport also to put b series motor and trans in del sol you need a del sol shift linkage from the delsol vtec the one that come with the b16 for some reason it is the only linkage that will match right up no hacking involved and no other b series shift linkage will work without hacking ive researched it plenty. if you want to buy the linkage go to. www.hondapartsdeals.com its fairly cheap and brand new there. pm me how the swap goes im tryin to put a built b20b in a 94 sol and cant seem to figure out if i need a teg harness or am able to use the d series engine harness.
