got this 88 crx original motor i put in a brand new fuel pump  and a brand new fuel filter just replaced the main relay and it stared fine cranked it up three of four times now it wont start or turn on the fuel pump  

try changing the distributor, I know that sounds stupid. but hondas are sre setup so that if the ECU doesn't sense a spark from the distributor it won't turn the fuel pump on.  

The wiring to the fual pump could have a short in it or something...my old civic did that and i ran the fuel pump to a switch and it worked fine...try hooking a wire to the pump and put it on a battery and see if it even runs at all...if it does then its could be the wiring running to the fuel pump?  

check ur getting a battery voiltage at the fuel pump,check for a volt drop on earth,make sure ur fuel pump relay is working,even if its clicking put a bulb across 30/87pins and power up 85/86pins,if everything is ok it will light,then id b checken ur inertia switch,not sure if ur 88 will have one but it is usaly behind th glove box,looks like a red rubber button,push it down and try tuning over,try them basics first
