Hi, newbie to these forums and to the Honda side of the tracks so I'm drilling for knowledge. I picked up an 87 teg for cheap off E-Bay and did a little research on it online and then did some research in other Honda related areas (It's a Honda over here in Australia).

So the car has a poxy little D16A1 donk in it and after some research I've decided it's not worth working with. I may be underestimating the engine but everything I can find out about it isn't very promising and I intend to use this car in some Clubman Racing.

So I took a look at the B series engines and like the look of the B18C5 VTEC if I can get my paws on one. Or maybe something from the H22A series.

So what I need to know is what engine has more potential and is better suited for a swap in my car. I'll be happy with either one.

well the b18c5 is cheaper and easier to install but the h22 is a torque monster, but i leaves you little room in the bay, but i love mine they are fast stock

Acura TSX Research
Acura TSX When looking for your next vehicle, think about the Acura TSX, a stylish car with nice features. The TSX gets 18 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway, and is available in the following bodystyle: Sedans. The Honda Pilot and the Honda Ridgeline are other vehicles that might interest you.
