I have a 1995 Civic that i have done a JDM H-22 swap in.. The car runs, but i am having some technical issues with it and could use some help. First off i have been told that i need a new ECU in it. Let me explain, i took the ECU from the JDM motor that was sent to me and placed it on a 1996 Civic SI wiring harness. Now my V-Tech is not kicking in, the engine is red-lining at about 6500 rpm's instead of the 9000 as I have been told it should, and it sounds like i put a cam on the motor when i have not yet. Is this the ECU causing all of these problems? If not what else should i look into? If it is the ECU, should i replace with what? a P-28? if so should i go JDM or American (96 wireing harness is American)?

YOU HAVE A 95 CAR THAT IS OBD 1 DID YOU REWIRE THE CAR TO CONVERT TO OBD2? CHECK THE WIRING FOR THE MAP SENSOR THAT IS WHY IT SOUNDS LIKE A CAM LOPE MAP IS NOT READING. WHAT YEAR IS THE JDM ENGINE AND ECU?

The map sensor is wired and and above the intake, and we did rewire the car but with a harness out of a 98 Si. The year of the motor is a 93 And the ECU is the same.
