Check Engine Light blink and Car get a jerk

My Honda Civic EX 2002 give a jerk and in the same time Check engine light blinks. If check engine lights remains, and when it goes off car get jerk. This specially happens when its running on Gas and slow speed. On petrol i havent felt any jerk. But still a click sound comes under the dashboard
Can anyone help me in this regard
