Are you talking stock rebuild with a tune, or with some performance internals? Stock with a tune won't be very much, maybe 20 if its a really good tune with 93 octane, what i have here in louisiana.

To give you any kind of answer we need a lot more info. Is this going to remain naturally aspirated (NA) or are you going boost? What piston's will you be slapping in? What head? We need this info to determine compression. Are you lightening where you can? How much weight reduction on the crank? Flywheel? What about intake? Short ram, cold ram, or ITB? What injector size will you be using? Will you be getting a higher rated fuel pump? Are you sticking with regular fuel, or going with E85? If you are really going to put the money into it I'd reconsider your D16 and go B series. Unless you're going to go turbo, then you can get big HP gains a bit cheaper on the D series. But no one can tell you what HP you'll end up with without answers to these questions.
