ive got a 1995/1996 civic 1.4 hatchback sohc engine, wanna make it faster but dna where 2 start im a mechanic work on trucks so not boverd about doing stuff myself but jus wonderd if any1 had any ideas where 2 start
plz reply =]
also having problems with the car hunting from wot i can think it is cuming off of choke (warming up and once reaches certain temp) and reving up and down cant work out what is wrong im thinkin its the air flow meter any1 got any ideas?

As for making a go-fast motor, it depends on your goal. If you don't want to do a lot of work, do the common intake, header, exhaust and call it good. If you have some money and like the simplicity of SOHC motors, tear it down, sleeve the block and turbo it. But, IMHO, I can't see putting money into a SOHC. I'd swap in a B or K series motor.
The reving problem is usually the AICV sensor. Sometimes a coolant problem can cause the rev at idle problem. But 9 times out of 10 its the AICV.
