I have a 1995 integra ls with a b18b1 engine and auto tranny. I also have a 1999 honda civic race car that has the 1.6l sohc engine with the 5 speed. I want to put the integra engine in the civic and leave the stock 5 spd tranny in the civic. I understand i will have to change wiring harnesses witch is no biggie cuz its a race car anyways. Will this engine bolt up the the tranny? Will it bolt into the motor mounts or will i have to change them? anything other problems i might run into while trying to do this? Any help would be appreciated as i am new to the honda stuff but definatly interested. Thanks alot!!! kyle

Your integra is obdI, the civic is obdII. The civics' tranny will never bolt on to the b engine. The castings are different. Theres no way you can use the auto tranny because to put the b series on your civic you'll need the 99 civic SI B16 rear mount bracket that was made only for b series standard trannys cause automatics are different in that place and this model only came whit manual tranny. Better find a b series manual tranny and shift linkage and clutch components. Your civics' manual transmision side mount base will fit this one, buy the SI rear mount L bracket. You'll need the manual B tranny leg that attaches to the little mount under the framerail. This is different from the automatic and from your civics' tranny too. The engine little framerail mount leg that goes behind a/c compressor will fit in this mount. For the engine side upper mount you'll need to find the base bracket that its attached to the engine from a B18a1 early 89-93 integra engine. This two bolt base will bolt on to the bridge bracket of the mount that uses to nuts to grab the engine base bracket bolts and one nut to grab the mount in the upper side of it. So this b18a1 engine bracket is equal to the civics' bracket on the mount side but different in the engine side so it fits your b18b1. After that you just need to modify OBD differences even thought it's almost the same thing just adding a few more sensors to the OBDII side, like the oxigen sensors that are two on your civic and one on the integra etc. You can use the civic ECU and injectors that are the same size of the integras'. So no need to cut and mate the injector plugs. Later better to use an OBII to OBDI harnnes conversion to use your integra ecu or another OBDI ecu so you can program it as you like. Now, if your civic was a 92-95 one all you had to do was to take out the integras whole engine and throw it in the civics' engine bay cause it is the same engine bay and mounts. Even thought maybe the electric part of the auto tranny would be some wires to add if the civic is not automatic from the factory. Hope this will help you.
