Well, i just recently bought a 91 civic with a 5sp transmission and a 1.6zc motor in it.  Everything was great until I failed emissions(Spitting out too much unburnt gasoline) and I took it to midas.  They guys at midas said they had trouble keeping it running,I never had any trouble, and that the resistance on the spark wires was too high and also that it needed a new catolitic converter. Well this all came out to about 700 dollars and I got the car back last night.  I went to go eat and I tried to start my car, it wouldn't start and when it did, it just kept stalling.  So what I did was i gave it a ton of gas, and when it warmed up it ran just great.  So I was wondering what was wrong with my car if anyone knew?  My friend had a 280z and it kind of had this same thing and he just got a new fuel pump, so could that be it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

it sounds like the fuel pressure regulator is going bad
