Did the air intake make my computer shut the car down?

I have a 86 honda civic Si that I put a cold air intake on...I drove the car for a week after with great results and on the 7th day my car shuts down and wont start...I removed the cold air intake and put the stock air intake back on and it fired right up...did I do something wrong?

Your filter might be clogged and its not getting any air

i tested that and it was getting plenty
