Ok, I just bought d16a1 engine and I'm wanting to swap it with my d15b7, the engine that came stock with my car.  I'm seriously wanting to know if there is going to be any complications what so ever.  Questions like, is it going to be bolt up to my 5-spd tranny, are the mounts going to have to be changed, things like that.  If someone could reply to this and let me know or drop me a message on myspace www.myspace.com/new_design_racing or just email me dpierucki_1986@yahoo.com I would be greatly forever in that persons debt!

Yeah everything off your D15 will fit only the 16. It will bolt up and swap right over with no problems. If something off the D16 dont fit, swap it with the D15

ok, that's what my mechanic friend says, but I still get worried about it.  This is my first engine swap, well, my first tuner and I'm just wanting everything to go as perfect as possible.

Yeah, I ran into complications, unfortunatly.  I need a new transmition and engine mounts, things i dont have nor have the money for at the moment.  So, i traded the d16a1/zc for a d16a6 that will bolt up easier, nothing major to switch, plus the a6 has a 11.1 to 1 compression ratio.  i'll have to run it on 93 pump gas, but i'll have more power than what the zc was going to offer.  thanks for your help though.

You could have taken the mounts off the old motor/tranny and put them on the new one to make it fit. Thats cool you traded it for a better motor tho, it'll be alot more fun. You can also run 91 octane fuel in your car too cause some places dont carry 93
