Ive recently purchased my first prelude (96) its got a hell of alot of miles on it (233k) but still runs great aside from the clutch and id like it to be the first car im going to turn into a mean street car and thats what i intend to do. Although seeing as im new at tuning cars i need some tips. My 96 honda prelude is not the h22 its an f22a. i was going to get the jdm h22 for a swap and rebuild with all new goodies and parts on the motor and slap a turbo kit on there but after seeing a SOCH f22 pushing 9's (9.57) in the quarter mile im seriously considering otherwise and keeping my f22 and rebuilding it and slapping a forced induction on. ive heard h22 does not go well with forced inductions anyways. if anyone would be so kind as to leave me some feed back on this and their much appreciated opinions thatd be rad. and also any parts recomendations and tips on doing this project would be of great use as well thanks

I would get the h22.I am assuming the car is kind of heavy.the h22 has 200 hp stock I believe.if it does not take well to a turbo.you still have options.its a 2.2 liter engine which means its cylinder walls are thin.that's why I am assuming it doesn't take turbo that good.you can always resleeve the block and bore it and you'll be ok.that will build the bottom end so it can handle boost
