2000 civic si needs engine swap

hey everyone I got a d16y8 engine that's at the end of it's life and need a swap i was im looking at b16a because its cheap but was wondering how old are these engines and what should i look out for please help me chose a reliable engine any tricks and tips greatly appreciated and if you got the same problem dont be afraid to write it in this post hopefully we all get our questions answered thx everyone

if it was me. i would swap in a k20a2 from an acura rsx type s. but your looking at around 5500 dolars for the engine and the manual 6speed tranny and everything that goes along with it. wen u swap in the manual tranny all u have to do is hook up clutch pedal and lines and the shifter assembly and some wires. and ur good to go.

If you have a 00 SI your car should already be equipped with a B16. If your funds allow it, you should get a K series swap. K24 would be the best motor for your chassis since its a heavier model. You can pick up a K24a4 for about 600-1000 dollars and would just need to buy the mounts and stuff to do the swap.
