i drive a 2003 honda civic lx coupe. i love the car and dont want to get rid of it just bc of the engine and automatic tranny. What kind of eninge could i use? i have always loved the K20A, but i dont know if it will fit. Also what would i need to do this? Would i or could i swap the tranny to manual? if so what will i need? i love my car and want it to have the right insides. any ifo would be greatly appreciated! sorry for all the questions.

You can use any K series engine you wish if thats the route you want to take. Your gonna need a motor, mounts, ecu, wire harness, axles, stuff like that. You can convert the car to a manual as well, your going to need to get the pedal assembly for your car when doing a K swap. There is a lot of helpful info on K20a.org, its the best forum on the net as far as learning about K series stuff and the people on there will help with any other questions you have.

thanks man. i also heard the k24 was to big? i think im going with the k20a2 though. do you know where i can get good reliable parts, that arent too used up or even brand new?

K24's will fit, they are pretty much the same swap as doing a K20 except your going to need a crv passanger side block mount. There are a few guys on K20a.org with newer civics like yours with K24 swaps and they are nice swaps. Like I said I would check out K20a.org and do some searching around there. There are always good deals on there for parts, motors, ect. and you can find all the right info your lookin for as far as the swap goes.
